Jamar Construction Inc. was founded in 1991 in Hayesville, NC, Clay County by James K. Smith and Mark Runge.  Mark Runge has been a licensed General Contractor for the past 30 years having built over 200 homes, churches, restaurants, banks and many commercial buildings.   Jamar Construction Inc. is in the business of building fine custom homes using quality materials and fine workmanship.
 
 Jamar Construction Inc. is a North Carolina licensed builder and a member of the National Home Builders Association, Appalachian Home Builder's Association, Clay County Chamber of Commerce.  Jamar Construction Inc. carries Workman's Compensation Insurance, General Liability Insurance and Builder's Risk Insurance on each project.
 
 Jamar Construction Inc. has in house design capabilities and will work with potential clients with their plans, ideas or ours.
 
 Since 1991, Jamar has built over 40 homes in the following sub-divisions  and areas.
 Mountain Harbour, Eagles View, High Meadows, Harbour Cove, Tusquittee, Hiawassee, Fires Creek, Mission Ridge, The Springs, Meadow Creek, Compass Creek, and Shearer Creek.
